Cougars Hockey – Squirt and Pee Wee
The Ice Center is the home of the Cougars. The Cougars play in the Northern California Junior Hockey Association. Tryouts for the Cougars are hosted every August. Please go to http://www.californiacougars.org/Tryouts.html for complete details.
Squirt and Pee Wee teams practice and play their home games at the Ice Center of Cupertino, while the Bantam, and Midget teams practice and play their home games at the Ice Center of San Mateo.
The season for the Youth Travel Hockey runs from September to March. The Cougar teams participate in play against other clubs from all over Northern California to earn the chance to represent our League in the California State Championships against teams from the Southern California district in April. Last year, the Cougar Bantam A team won the California State Championship, while the Cougar Bantam B team won the Norcal title.
The Cougars also conduct two Summer Programs to improve hockey skills in the off season. We offer the Summer Skate, which is a once-per-week skills and drills session, with some scrimmages. The Summer League is a game-only, once-per-week session. |
